The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline including celestial beings, demons, and dark forces expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Seekers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
